Here’s the hi-res version of the teaser poster, which is really cool to zoom into and look at the awesome details in the battle room and Earth in the background. Also, you can find a newly updated synopsis for the movie.
In the near future, a hostile alien race called the Formics have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), all would have been lost. In preparation for the next attack, the highly esteemed Colonel Hyrum Graff (Harrison Ford) and the International Military are training only the best young minds to find the future Mazer.
Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), a shy but strategically brilliant boy, is recruited to join the elite. Arriving at Battle School, Ender quickly and easily masters increasingly difficult challenges and simulations, distinguishing himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soon ordained by Graff as the military’s next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, he’s trained by Mazer Rackham himself to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.
Based on the best-selling, award winning novel, ENDER’S GAME is an epic adventure which stars Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, Ben Kingsley, Viola Davis, with Abigail Breslin and Harrison Ford.
Don’t forget to follow Ender’s Game:
Ender’s Game premieres in theaters nationwide November 1, 2013
via SF Signal
According to SF Signal the synopsis and cover art for Orson Scott Card and Aaron Johnston’s Earth Afire has been released. It’s a sequel to their recently released novel Earth Unaware, which tells about the first formic war.
100 years before Ender’s Game, the aliens arrived on Earth with fire and death. This is the story of the First Formic War.
Victor Delgado beat the alien ship to Earth, but just barely. Not soon enough to convince skeptical governments that there was a threat. They didn’t believe that until space stations and ships and colonies went up in sudden flame.
And when that happened, only Mazer Rackham and the Mobile Operations Police could move fast enough to meet the threat.
The book is set to release June 14, 2013 but you can pre-order the book on Amazon.
So here we are the week after Thanksgiving here in US. The week after last week for those of you outside our borders. And since the cast and fans are so actively involved on the social medias and production is still ongoing behind Summit’s curtains every week, preferably Sundays but today is an exception for the holiday weekend, we are going to do a Weekly Stats segment where I rally up the updates and news from the past week and briefly list them in a post. That way for those of you who missed some news can go back and catch up.
So to start off the first report did you know that Jimmy Pinchak, Peter Wiggin, and Ender’s Game stunt coordinator Garrett Warren have a sort of tradition where they play football on Thanksgiving day? Well now you know. Its been going for eight years and this year was no exception.
–The Cab released their new single “Endlessly” which features the always beautiful Haille Steinfeld.
–Stargroves released their second single “Within Me a Lunatic Sings” featuring vocals from the multi-talented Abigail Breslin.
–Summit released the official Ender’s Game synopsis. Which I still believe gives too much plot away. Check it out in the link.
–Sunday Khylin Rhambo attended the Hollywood Christmas Parade for his TV Show The First Family. Check your local listings for show times.
Some very exciting film news we got this week and a few fun pictures from the cast. Hopefully soon we can see more from Summit and less of singing crickets.
As we countdown 347 days till the film release, Summit Entertainment has revealed the full synopsis for the Ender’s Game film. (via collider) For fans of the series the synopsis isn’t a big revelation but for those who haven’t read the book and are looking forward to the movie I agree with collider in that, though it isn’t a spoiler of the whole novel, it explains more than necessary information upon the progression of Ender’s promotions in and from Battle School.
With the release date of November 1, 2013 here is the full synopsis for the Ender’s Game film:

A novel in a nutshell? The synopsis is spot on but I still feel it has more than necessary details than those who haven’t read the book need to know.
What do you think of the synopsis? Feel it fits the story fine? Or TMI? Let us know in the comments.
