The Weekly Stats: Thanksgiving Day Football and Music Videos…

So here we are the week after Thanksgiving here in US. The week after last week for those of you outside our borders. And since the cast and fans are so actively involved on the social medias and production is still ongoing behind Summit’s curtains every week, preferably Sundays but today is an exception for the holiday weekend, we are going to do a Weekly Stats segment where I rally up the updates and news from the past week and briefly list them in a post. That way for those of you who missed some news can go back and catch up.

So to start off the first report did you know that Jimmy Pinchak, Peter Wiggin, and Ender’s Game stunt coordinator Garrett Warren have a sort of tradition where they play football on Thanksgiving day? Well now you know. Its been going for eight years and this year was no exception.

The Cab released their new single “Endlessly” which features the always beautiful Haille Steinfeld.

–Stargroves released their second single “Within Me a Lunatic Sings” featuring vocals from the multi-talented Abigail Breslin.

–Summit released the official Ender’s Game synopsis. Which I still believe gives too much plot away. Check it out in the link.

–Sunday Khylin Rhambo attended the Hollywood Christmas Parade for his TV Show The First Family. Check your local listings for show times.

Some very exciting film news we got this week and a few fun pictures from the cast. Hopefully soon we can see more from Summit and less of singing crickets.

Ender’s Game Week Update

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. As a starter for the week and as we await the anticipating date of the screen adaption of Ender’s Game on November 1st 2013 here at Ender’s Game Fandom.Net we try to keep you notified and busy on anything and anyone Ender’s Game related.

During the month of September there was a big issue upon the special effects company Digital Domain Media Group Inc. (DDM), who is working on the special effects for Ender’s Game, filing for bankruptcy. The company was put up for a speedy auction on the 21st of September so to keep potential blockbusters on their scheduled production. Before the auction questions arose in concern of Ender’s Game. One was the possibility of schedule backup for the production. Two, the distribution of the Ender’s Game contracts to different buyers. Though, DDM was to be sold, the investment of the Ender’s Game film was to be included as a whole with DDM and the scheduling of production is to be kept on track. Finally, after a few days of negotiating and bidding Galloping Horses and Reliance MediaWorks acquired Digital Domain Media Inc. With Reliance MediaWorks receiving 30% and Galloping Horses the rest. Though, these companies have gained the Digital Domain Media company it remains unnoticed if they would keep the investment upon the Ender’s Game film.

As with the actors related to the Ender’s Game film here are a few updates that have popped up in my inbox:

Courtesy of Yahoo! Movies

Viola Davis has been in great busy days. Along with the recent release of her movie “Won’t back Down” featuring Maggie Gyllenhaal, she can be seen up next in the romantic film “Beautiful Creatures” as Amma; which also features actress Emma Thompson, “The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby” as Lillian Friedman with Jessica Chastain and James McAvoy  and in the process of script editing and playing the biopic of Congresswoman Barbara Jordan.

Moises Arias can be heard as the voice of Antonio in “Despicable Me 2″ and is in post-filming as Biaggio in “Toy’s House”.

Sir Ben Kingsley has also touched down on a few great roles which add on to his resume of epic characters. He is currently in production on one of the two following movies, “The Physician” as Ibn Sina; which also includes Stellan Skarsgård or “Iron Man 3″ where he plays villain The Mandarin. He has also signed on to play Dr. Rank in Charles Huddleston’s adaption of Henrik Ibsen’s play “A Doll’s House” also featuring actress Jena Malone and King Harod in “Mary Mother of Christ” with Peter O’Toole and Odeya Rush.

Hailee Steinfeld is a busy bee. Very active on her twitter page and just starting her long journey in the movie industry she is set to play Violet in “Can a Song Save Your Life?” alongside Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo, Juliet in Carlo Carlei’s adaption of Shakespeare’s play “Romeo and Juliet”, Minerva in “Why We Broke Up”, Princess Rosamond in “Sleeping Beauty” and London Lane in “Forgotten”.

Harrison Ford has included himself in a fifth movie of Indian Jones which has just been announced and no set release date has been confirmed. In a list of post-productions he will play Branch Rickey alongside Christopher Meloni in “42″ and Jock Goddard with Gary Oldman and Liam Hemsworth in “Paranoia”.

Khylin Rhambo can be seen on the TV sitcom “The First Family” which will air October 5th.

Abigail Breslin has in works a number of films. “Perfect Sisters” who she plays Sandra, “Innocence” as Beckett, Lisa in “Haunter”, and Jean Fordham in “August: Osage County”. Also, she has been in works with music and her band CABB, recently featured in Stargroves single “Westfjords“.

Jimmy “Jax” Pinchak has also been in the music biz working on his own album and treating us with some peeks to his single “Tell Me”.

So as we cross off the days on our calendars we can fill in our time with the releases of the many and varied projects the actors have in works. From films to TV episodes to music the long wait will pass us by like a fly.

Variety’s Power of Youth 2012

Yesterday Saturday the 15th Variety held its annual Power of Youth event which “brings together the top young talent in Hollywood, encouraging young people everywhere to get involved in philanthropic and humanitarian causes.” -Variety Power Of Youth Facebook page.

In attendance, some being honored in their role of this generation, were some of the cast members from the Ender’s Game film, including the always beautiful and youthful Hailee Steinfeld (Petra Arkanian), Khylin Rhambo (Dink Meeker), Brandon Soo Hoo (Fly Molo), Jimmy Pinchak (Peter Wiggin) and Aramis Knight (Bean).

Also, the cast got to hang out with Brendan Meyer who was suppose to play the character of Stilson but due to scheduling conflicts had to drop out of the movie. So it’s nice to see the camaraderie between Ender’s Game still rooted.

Here are some pictures found around the internet (mainly twitter and instagram) and a video link to the Power of Youth 2012 site who interviews Hailee Steinfeld and her take on the youth generation. The photos are still coming in but we were promised by Jimmy Pinchak, via his facebook page, he was going to post some up when made available. So we will keep you all updated when they surface.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, Jimmy Pinchak wasn’t able to attend the event because of timing. Photos from his experience, as we promised to update you on, aren’t available.

Music by Jimmy Jax Pinchak

News on the post-production of the Ender’s Game movie has been slow these few months. So here is a treat by Peter actor Jimmy Jax Pinchak on his new music “Tell Me”. A shortened video clip of the song.

The song sounds great and so do the vocals. What a deep voice he has going on, agree?

If you want to hear more about his music you can follow him on twitter @JimmyJaxPinchak, subscribe to his youtube channel JimmyJaxPinchak or ‘like’ his facebook page.

Photoshoot for the Ender’s Game film

So with production wrapped up, the cast are either back in LA or at work on another movie. Most likely their is editing for the movie going on at the moment but we have heads up that there is also a photoshoot with the cast. Jimmy Jax Pinchak (Peter Wiggin) tweeted this yesterday:

Also, Aramis Knight tweeted about an Ender’s Game reunion:

If they are doing a photoshoot for the cast then hopefully soon we can be delighted with character posters or an official movie poster for the film. How exciting would it be to finally see the whole crew in character?

Ender’s Game Production Wraps

Well, it looks like almost all, if not all, actors have finished filming their parts for the movie.  There may be a couple still out there that possibly need to do a scene or something (this is all speculation on my part, according to what I’ve been reading on tweets), but everyone is pretty much done.

What’s cool about watching these novels, especially ones with a young cast, get done is that the actors really seem to appreciate the time spent with each other.  Twitter has given them a way to express it so to their fellow co-stars, whilst letting everyone else who may be interested know about it as well.  Case in point:

So, now that production is done, you may wonder why we still have to wait more than a year for the movie to come out.  Well, it was originally planned to come out in March of 2013, but the studio moved it up to November 2013 for their own marketing and financially appealing motives.  However, despite that, yes, it still takes a while to get everything in place during post-production, especially when it comes to a sci-fi movie that will seemingly rely on CGI effects for a portion of the movie.  That being said, they now have plenty of time to get everything in place and in order.  And seeing as these kids are so happy to have been involved with the whole process, I really am excited for us to enjoy the movie as much as they enjoyed filming it.
