Ender’s Game is such an intense fandom, so it’s great to see moments of silly levity in there too!
The team at Drunk Literature has mastered the art of getting friends to ramble on about books they love while under the influence. One such friend talked all about Ender’s Game and the result is pretty hilarious!
Last week the hosts of Endercast took some time off to regain their sanity after all the set visit reports they released for us. This week they come back with a great and interesting episode in which they cover ALOT of recent news.
- Set visit reports are out! (Ender News & EnderWiggin.net)
- Addressing the nagging fear: What if the movie sucks?
- The odd feeling of seeing trailers, posters, and “real” Ender’s Game things
- Ender’s Game ICEEs
- “Making of” book for Ender’s Game and how we’re going to avoid (or not) spoilers
- International poster

This is an unofficial poster, meaning it was fan made.
Not much news has come from the IF yet. However, here is some fan creations you all might like. Continuing his awesome and creative designs Darian Robbins has added to his list of fan-made t-shirts that can be found on redbubble.com.
He has an assortment of different designs so be sure to check them out.
Ender’s Game premieres November 1st, 2013.
Check out this fan-made trailer for the Ender’s Game movie.
What do you think? It has some interesting elements in it that, including a seemingly older Ender Wiggin, but it’s still pretty nicely done, portraying Ender’s Game as a really cool sci-fi action film.
What do you guys think? I really like the audio effects. The fact that people are making trailers is getting me so excited for the actual release of the movie next year. Can’t wait until the real trailers start hitting the screen!
Earlier this week I got a notification about a fanmade song by Noah Silver called “Ender’s Game The Movie Credits Song”.
Here’s the youtube video for the song.
What do you think of the song? I really felt for it. Though, Noah meant for it as a credit song I think it can be applied to other parts of the book/movie. The song seems to reflect Ender’s post-final battle state. When Mazer Rackham tells him that the battles were real, Ender goes into a dazed state. Noah says “it’s just a game shut your eyes and pretend”. I believe this represents what Ender tries to do when he lets himself go limp and unresponsive.
What did you take from the song? Let us know in the comments.
Many fandoms enjoy creating sub-stories or illustrations for their favorite books. I’ve seen some great Ender’s Game art! I have not yet read any short stories or poems. I, myself, am a creative writer, but I have not have the time to write anything Ender’s Game related. So I want to ask you guys, the fans, the people, the ones who run this fandom, to send in your creations inspired by our child hero to email@example.com.
Please make sure that what you send in is:
- clean from any offensive words, gestures, symbols, anything of the like
- respectful to other fandoms related to fandom.net
- not used without the consent of the creator
If I missed any other rule, I apologize, and will keep in mind when posting what is submitted.
I would enjoy seeing or reading what you create. And I’m sure other fans would to.
footnote: the email posted will be my personal Ender’s Game email. If you have any questions or want to share any info contact me at [firstname.lastname@example.org].
I just know some of you are waiting patiently in front of your computer screens for more information about the filming progression or recent cast interviews. (Heck, Ender’s Game news search is the first thing I do when waking up my mac). If you find yourself low on Ender’s Game news no fear I have some tips you can take to level yourself up.
Though, filming is still in works and we await a trailer or teaser at the least. Why not hype up on some fan-made trailers. Here’s one that, maybe is most popular amongst us fans, but I found to be great in editing and gave me goosebumps just watching it.
Seen this video? Well here’s another suggestion. Did you know Ender’s Game was made into a comic? Of course you knew. You’re a fan, right? Well, if you didn’t go check out Marvel’s website for the Ender’s Game comic books and see if you can take up the time to read through them. Not only did they make Ender’s Game but Ender’s Shadow as well.
If you are full on die hard fan and are missing some essential Ender’s Game merchandise you can check out the Merch link to the right (yea look over, right under Media). You can also check out zazzle.com and cafepress.com for some cool t-shirts of Dragon Army or candidate buttons for Petter Wiggin for Hegemon.
Never the less, you will always find something Ender’s Game in your life. You can always try to convert a friend or family member to a fan also by recommending them to read Ender’s Game. That is my project right now. I’ve got a cousin who refuses to read the book because of THE COVER. Naturally, he goes against “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. But we will see once campaigning for Ender’s Game surfaces.
Have any other tips to fill in the time waiting for the film? Let us know in the comments.
Not even a week into filming and already this fandom has started with the amazing edits! Here’s a great fan made movie poster, featuring the official Ender Wiggin, Asa Butterfield. Photo credit: maria-luvs-u.tumblr.com
