Hammond Daily Star Online got the chance to interview Hammond, Louisiana native Kyle Clements who plays a young Mazer Rackham in the upcoming film Ender’s Game.
They mention some amazing stuff about his recent project “2 Guns” which also include Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington. It talks about how he didn’t want a stunt double and how he got offered the role of “Teemo, who is a part of Wahlberg’s Navy SEAL group that eventually turns on Wahlberg.”
They talk about the filming of Ender’s Game which he took part in during the casting of “2 Guns”. Kyle says that working on the sets of both films was different “in that “Ender’s Game” was primarily filmed in a large studio space in New Orleans.”
“Ender’s Game” was a large scale production. You could have kids flying around on high wires on one stage while Harrison Ford and Ben Kingsley were doing a scene on another stage. All the while I’m being spun around in the cockpit of a jet in another stage. It was crazy.”
Apart from having the mechanisms that replicate all the space environments for the movie we believe that the producers and director Gavin Hood are doing all they can to make this movie as realistic as can be. “Two Navy pilots were even there as technical advisors” Kyle states. Let’s not forget about previous posts about news upon the recruiting of professionals such as Cirque De Soliel performers and sending the young actors to Space Camp. The crew behind the making of the Ender’s Game movie are truly putting their efforts and creativity to make this novel-turned-to-film as realistic as possible. So thumbs up for the cast and crew and fingers crossed for November 1 2013 to come quick!
